Marble Cake Ingredients

How to Make Marble Cake

  1. Beat the butter with the sugar and the oil, add the eggs, add the vanilla, keep beating, and mix in the lemon zest.

  2. In another bowl, add the dry ingredients: sift the flour, baking powder and salt, then combine with the previous mixture and finally the yogurt (keep about a third of it for the next step)

  1. Divide the batter between two bowls, and add the cocoa and the remaining yogurt to one of them.

  1. Pour half of the plain batter into a pan, then add half of the cocoa batter, and repeat the process with the other halves. Use a skewer to make whatever pattern you like in your cake, without mixing too much.

  2. Put the pan in the oven preheated to 180° for 25 to 30 minutes; it will depend a lot on your oven. When a knife inserted comes out clean, turn off the oven.
